Blaze1 Glass

reviewed by DJ Reetz

This practical and stylish piece of smokeware balances nicely between the no-nonsense efficiency of scientific glass and the organic flourishes of more traditional styles. The bottom half of this bong is all business, straight lines and clean edges; a three-holed percolator feeds the chamber underneath the honeycomb diffuser. The bottom half of this bong is clean and effective scientific glass designed to give you the smoothest hits possible. Higher up the tube, the ice catcher marks the bong’s transformation into more artistic glass, where a swirling, whimsical pattern satisfies the need for form more than function. It’s an interesting hybrid, too kooky to be scientific glass, but with all the practical functionality. The bowl even has a glass honeycomb screen, so you won’t be sucking down unburned nugs and won’t have to rely on aftermarket screens. The glass-on-glass fitting ensures you’ll be clearing bowls for years to come without having to worry about your rubber gasket breaking down. I can anticipate that this piece will need a little bit more regular cleaning than some of my old standards, but with its jarring mix effectiveness and artistry, I think it will be well worth it. Eyce: The Coolest Water Pipe

reviewed by Monocle Man

This is such a unique product. We have all used our bongs filled with ice cubes at least once or twice. Now imagine that icy cool feeling amplified by the entire bong being made of ice. This has to be one of the smoothest ways to smoke. I am not generally one to smoke out of a bong because it wrecks my lungs, I take a hit and then cough for 15 minutes. That was not the case with Eyce. Every hit was cool and smooth, no hacking involved.

The kit wasn’t difficult to put together, as long as you follow the directions. The hardest part was waiting for it to freeze so I could try it out. It was worth the wait. I will definitely be freezing a new one up for my next social gathering. Sharing the icy experience with friends is the only thing that could possibly make Eyce any cooler.

This kit comes with:

  • Silicone Mold
  • Core Pin
  • Grommet
  • Down Stem
  • Mouth Piece
  • Stand
  • User Manual (Slide not included)

Thee Wicked Wizard by SI Pipes

Reviewed by Monocle Man

wizard-tshirt-back_vectorScientific Inhalations out of California has made products that will make you want to reconsider your current piece and upgrade to theirs. SI Pipes was formed in 2009 to develop and manufacture a cleaner, healthier way to smoke. They came up with a revolutionary filtering system that helps extract tars and impurities to enjoy a cleaner cooler inhalation.

SI Pipes offers double – and triple – filtered product lines with different designs. The one I tried for this review is The Compact, Thee Wicked Wizard Edition. The Compact is one of the many products from the triple-filtered system. SI Pipes’ three steps of filtering are activated coconut carbon, water, and 100 percent organic cotton. It sounds weird at first but after you try it and see how dirty the cotton gets after one bowl, you will want to switch to SI Pipes products.

The Compact, Thee Wicked Wizard is a honeycomb bubbler design with an awesome green decal of a wizard puffing on one of SI pieces. It features two honeycomb discs built in the down stem and the mouthpiece. The honeycomb in the down stem keeps the coconut carbon from falling into the water and the other one holds the cotton in place.

First thing you want to do is fill the bubbler with water. They have a fill line on the back to make sure you don’t over do it. Next you lift up the bowl and fill the down stem with the activated coconut carbon. SI Pipes website suggests that you only fill it up about 3/4 of the way or less. Another great thing about the carbon is it catches all the ash, so you don’t have to clean your pipe as much. The cotton needs to be pulled apart so it’s easy to work with and has good air flow in the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is removed to fill the cotton and easily fits back into place when you are done. Now you are ready to load the bowl with your favorite herb and fire it up.

The Compact hits like a dream. With extremely smooth hits. I was able to take monster rips and fill the room with smoke clouds. After smoking two bowls I was shocked how dirty the cotton ball got. It went from bright white to looking like a smoked cigarette filter. Don’t worry all you dab heads, if you have an 18mm attachment you can use your concentrates with this too. It will be the smoothest dab you will ever have. If you don’t, SI Pipes has you covered with a variety of sizes to fit all of their products. If you cough up a storm during a session or are just looking for a healthy way to smoke, then seriously consider getting one of Scientific Inhalations’ products. Check out their website for more information and to find a head shop or authorized online reseller.

Jetter Concentrate Bong

reviewed by Monocle Man

The Jetter Bong by Jetter Systems is an unique brand that is a part of Colorado’s cannabis culture. The owner Chris Jetter has been producing these high quality smoking accessories since 1992. My first experience with a Jetter Bong was a few years ago at Bong-A-Thon. I loved the distinctive look that they had and it immediately caught my eye. First thing you will notice is the sturdy plastic square base that the glass runs through. They all have different colors and patterns worked into them, making them almost one of a kind. My favorite part is that the base also has a lighter holder on the regular bongs and a full dab kit for their concentrate bong. The concentrate Jetter Bongs come with a torch, dish, and borosilicate dabber all accessible from the base. They also supply you with a Halen honey hole dome-less quartz nail. The dome-less nail is awesome to use and makes dabbing a lot easier. I ran this piece through the gauntlet and dabbed every kind of concentrate I had. CO2 oil, BHO oil, wax, shatter, and all worked great with the nail. The bong its self hit like a champ just like the first one I tried years ago. This is a great bong to have out when you are having a lot of people over for a session. Keep your fragile crazy expensive glass rigs locked up and have a durable Jetter Bong out. If you are looking for a quality sturdy bong get yourself a Jetter Bong. A Colorado Legend.
