Hemp CBD Oil by MoonRise ExtractsRead More

The market of hemp-extracted CBD products seems to be a tough one to navigate these days. Different companies have different ideas about the legality of their products, and undoubtedly there are some folks out there who are sourcing their extracts from less than ideal locations. Fortunately Moonrise Extracts are operating within the legal white area of Colorado, using locally grown hemp flower to produce their CBD via a cold-ethanol extraction. While some CBD extract companies leave you wondering just where exactly their products are coming from, Moonrise is proud to be growing their organic hemp right here in Colorado. A few drops of the tincture is the recommended dosage, but medical patients used to CBD extracts may end up needing slightly more. Still, a single bottle can potential last quite a while. The product is tested locally by Cannlabs, so you can have at least some assurance that what you’re getting isn’t just hempseed oil. www.moonriseextracts.com
Sore Muscle Hemp Salve by Nature's RootRead More
reviewed by Monocle Man
This local product contains hemp oil grown on their hemp farm here in Colorado! It is also free of parabens, dyes and synthetic fragrances, making it easy on sensitive skin.
The ingredient list is simple and pure, and all components are organic, vegan, eco-friendly and ethically sourced: Shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, Arnica-infused olive oil, Camphor (which helps to penetrate the muscles deeper), hemp-infused coconut oil, menthol crystals, emulsifying wax, and peppermint essential oil.
Simply apply a small amount to troubled area (avoiding eyes) and let it go to work. I first tried it on my sore neck and shoulder muscles, the root of all my pain. The salve is soft and goes on nicely. In just moments after applying, a nice cool feeling came over the area and I felt almost immediate relief. I also used the Sore Muscle Hemp Salve on a jammed finger that was causing me pain, which it also soothed.
Based on the ingredient list alone, I will buy this again, but it’s nice when a product just works. Check out www.naturesroot.com to see other wonderful products from this Colorado company.
CBD Pen by Mary’s NutritionalsRead More

Mary’s Medicinals has always been a pioneering company in the field of trans-dermal medicating. My experience has always been with the company’s excellent selection of cannabinoid specific patches, and their latest line rebranded as Mary’s Nutritionals seems to be continuing the trend of reliable, consistent and discreet dosing. The Nutritionals line is now pushing the bounds of legality by offering products online, outside of dispensaries, available for shipping all over the country. Anyone familiar with Mary’s Medicinals may have come across a product virtually identical to this one. The pen is easy to use and transport, providing a discreet way to get small doses of CBD by rubbing a glob on a venous area of the skin; generally with a roughly 45-minute activation time. Mary’s has been a trusted name in Colorado’s medical marijuana game for several years now, and hopefully they will continue to live up to their name as they step outside the clearly defined legal framework of that market. www.marysnutritionals.com
HEMPCO CBD PAIN SALVERead More
reviewed by Christianna Lewis-Brown
We have reviewed a couple of Hempco products in the past and our staff was impressed with the quality and effectiveness of those products. So we went into this review with high expectations and we were not disappointed. The CBD Pain Relief Salve is made of all natural and some organic ingredients, and each stick contains 20mg of active CBD, CBDA derived from hemp. The packaging is very handy for a pain salve. It comes in a clear, cylindrical dispensing container with a screw top lid, similar to a deodorant stick.
It was very convenient to use, you just rub the stick on the affected area. Pain salves I have used in the past came in a tub and you had to dig your fingers in to apply the salve. This is problematic if you don’t get it washed off all of the way. Have you ever rubbed your eyes after using topical pain relievers? Ouch! Not with Hempco. To be fair, you might have to rub it in a bit but at least it won’t get under your fingernails.
Upon first application, there is a cooling sensation that lingers for a bit. I did notice some relief in my joint pain after the first use but it really works its magic if you reapply it throughout the day. The pain was less and less after each application. Another win for Hempco! This and their other products are available for purchase on their website, cbdriven.com.

CBD Skin Salve by HempcoRead More
I am so happy that I got to try this CBD Skin Salve during these harsh, dry winter months. My hands and feet get so dry and are prone to cracks in my lizard like skin. Hempco’s CBD Salve was just what I needed to mend my poor, neglected extremities. This salve contains a unique combination of active CBD, CBDA and a wonderful mixture of medicinal herbs and essential oils. Upon first application this salve almost immediately improves the look and texture of your skin. It melts a bit from the heat of your hands, which makes it super easy to apply and it absorbs very quickly without leaving an ultra-greasy film. I couldn’t stop petting the skin on the top of my hand where the salve had been applied, it was so soft! The scent is light and natural, I didn’t even notice the scent until I put my nose right in the container. My dry skin was healed up in a matter of days, even the few small cracks on my sad winter feet. While I was only able to try this CBD Salve on severely dry skin, Hempco says the salve is great for use on cold sores, eczema, yeast, skin irritation and psoriasis. CBD Skin Salve is made with Colorado grown natural ingredients, some of which are organic, and is chemical free. Since there is no THC in this hemp product, you can purchase it online at aprilshowersco.weebly.com
CBC 100mg Transdermal Compound by Mary’s MedicinalsRead More

Upon first sight of this product, I had to have it. The packaging got me. With its black label and childproof lid, I was intrigued. So I purchased it from The Giving Tree of Denver. I asked myself, what is CBC (Cannabichromene)? Will it do anything to ease my muscle soreness or back pain? The answer to that last question is a resounding yes.
CBC is the second most abundant in cannabinoid found in cannabis. Its positive attributes include fighting off bacteria and fungus, pain relief, anti-inflammatory, stimulating brain growth, and combating depression. Learning these great facts about CBC made me want to try this product that much more.
It was time to put it to the test. I opened the jar and a greenish salve stared back at me. The smell of eucalyptus overtook my senses. There is something so soothing about that scent. I proceeded to rub the compound on every sore spot on my body, my back, my foot, and my knee. It has a really nice feel to it once you warm it up in your hands, and leaves your skin feeling really smooth, but not too greasy once it’s rubbed in. After a couple minutes of having rubbed it in, I felt a soothing tingle and the pain slowly melted away. This product has been permanently added to my pain relief arsenal. Real Scientific Hemp Oil from HempMedsPxRead More
reviewed by Rick Macey
Last month I wrote a review of Cibdex CBD oil, a “nutritional supplement” that, in my opinion, can be regarded seriously for its medicinal properties. Hemp Meds PX has another similar product, a cannabidiol liquid called Real Scientific Hemp Oil (RSHO).
In fact, RSHO is the same product, although far more concentrated. Instead of a dropper, it is applied with a syringe. After switching from Cibdex to RSHO, I found no difference in its effects.
It mitigated the life-long headaches I tend to suffer. It also seemed to help with the muscle and joint pain that, as a former jock and avid day hiker, I frequently have.
As I wrote last issue, the healing properties of CBD are becoming better known. Despite the disclaimer on the label, Real Scientific Hemp Oil is more than a dietary supplement. It’s potent stuff, which explains why Hemp Meds PX promotes it as having “been painstakingly developed for maximum CBD yield in a standardized, federally legal format.”
That’s definitely true. At 19.5 percent CBD, you only need to squeeze out a few milliliters. Instead of the under-the-tongue routine recommended for Ciibdex, I decided to add RSHO to peanut butter and blueberry jam toast.
The oil’s taste made my typical breakfast less appetizing, so I experimented a bit. I finally decided that it was best added to my morning coffee. I put a few drops into my full cup, stirred vigorously, and found that the musty taste apparent on my toast was better concealed in the java.
I can’t help but think that in the not-too-distant future, products like RSHO will become as ubiquitous as vitamins and fish oil. And I predict the benefits for human health will be at least as significant.
And I wonder if the folks at Hemp Meds PX named this product with Rick Simpson’s ground-breaking work with hemp oil in mind. After all, the abbreviation RSHO has been used for years - along with RSO - to denote Rick Simpson Hemp Oil. www.wholesaleHMPX.com , www.RealScientificHempOil.com
Cibdex CBD DropsRead More
As an old school cannabis user prone to debilitating migraine headaches, I started dosing in the dim days before cannabidiol was widely available in liquid form.
It was time to catch up with modern cannabis science. Enter Cibdex CBD Drops from HempMedsPX.
Every few days I alternated between the original flavor and the peppermint. Each one ounce bottle has a whopping 80 doses - or “servings” as it’s described on the label.
Cibdex comes in 100mg - which I used - and 500mg of CBD per serving. About 15 drops, which is equal to a half-filled dropper, is recommended once or twice a day. I chose to begin modestly with once a day in the morning.
I placed the drops under my tongue, as specified, and attempted to wait the instructed 60 to 90 seconds before swallowing. At first I barely made it to a minute before ingesting, since I can’t remember the last time I had to hold a liquid under my tongue. After a few servings, though, it was a piece of cake. The liquid is consistent and went down smoothly, although the peppermint variety is definitely for folks who like mint.
I couldn’t help but notice the results within a few days. I had expected an increase in pain, at least at first, since I was changing the CBD delivery method I was long accustomed to. That didn’t happen. The reverse is true.
My headaches, which usually occurred in varying degrees of intensity once or twice every day, most often for two or three hours, have become less frequent and less intense.
Most of us know that CBD has powerful healing properties. It will be no surprise if in the near future, researchers consider CBD one of the most fruitful discoveries of modern (and ancient) medicine.
I noticed an improved ability to concentrate on detail-oriented tasks. There has been a lessening of other aches and pains that typically afflict ex-jocks in middle age, particularly in my lower back and left knee, which I tore up playing sports.
It’s no exaggeration to say that my overall health has improved in only a few weeks. I am a bit astonished.
If you’re looking for a nutritional supplement that taps into the healing powers of CBD, check out Cibdex from HempMedsPX.
You will be happy you did.
